How to Cook Cashew Chicken with Noodles: This cashew chicken is chunks of crisp chicken and roast cashews tossed in an exceedingly sweet and savory sauce. Serve over rice for the right simple dinner option!
I forever order cashew chicken from my favorite do away with spot, and that I suppose this homemade version tastes even higher than the restaurant recipe. Serve with rice and vegetables for an entire meal.
Cashew chicken is a Chinese-American dish that combines chicken, with cashews, brown garlic sauce or a thick sauce made from chicken stock and noodles.
Time: 25 Minutes
Serving: 4 Persons
- 8 ounces uncooked thick rice noodles
- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 6 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup unsalted cashews
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- Toasted sesame seeds, optional

- Cook rice noodles consistent with package directions.
- Meanwhile, in an exceedingly tiny bowl, mix the soy, corn flour and garlic.
- Add chicken. In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, saute chicken mixture in peanut and sesame oils. Cook till light brown. Add onions; cook one minute longer.
- Drain noodles; stir into pan. Add cashews and chili sauce and warmth through. If desired, top with toasted sesame seeds
